And yet, brands continue to communicate their supposed openness to all body types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1490\" style=\"width:267px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032.png 1000w, https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032-100x100.png 100w, https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032-400x400.png 400w, https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/theamelsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_0032-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Sometimes, all it takes is one plus-size look to create the illusion of progress throughout an entire runway show and create a buzz. Brands know how to capitalize on the image of a more &quot;out of the ordinary&quot; model to ensure press coverage, without fundamentally changing the way they design or cast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">-&gt; This is what we call the <strong>tokenism<\/strong> : Using an individual from a minority group to symbolize a diversity that does not really exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Except inclusivity can&#039;t be a slogan without action. And body diversity shouldn&#039;t be a &quot;fad,&quot; it should be the norm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><br>Some fashion houses continue to capitalize on the image of fashion &quot;for all&quot; without ever truly embodying it. But fortunately, <strong>according to several analyses of\u00a0<em>Vogue Business<\/em>\u00a0relating to SS24 Fashion Weeks<\/strong>, some houses are exceptions, like the French brand <strong>Balenciaga<\/strong> in Paris with about 6.9 % mid-size looks and 1.1 % plus-size, and also <strong>Moschino<\/strong>\u00a0in Milan which displayed nearly\u00a0<strong>9,1 %<\/strong>\u00a0of looks worn by mid-size and plus-size models combined.
